Hazon Detroit is working to lead a transformative movement — weaving sustainability into the fabric of Jewish life — in order to create a healthier, more sustainable, and more equitable world for all.

Our biggest event of the year, the Michigan Jewish Food Festival, is August 21 ... right around the corner! This year, we will be at the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center. We're aiming to bring people together to eat, connect, explore and engage with opportunities for environmental education, stewardship and action — and work together to care for each other and our planet.

In our 6th year, we're excited to be stewarding this impactful community event with an evolved focus on connection to community and to the earth at our new venue. There will be hands-on learning and engagement opportunities. Everyone will receive complimentary admission to the DNR's Outdoor Adventure Center, situated right on the intersection of the Dequindre Cut and the Detroit Riverwalk. Inside you’ll get a taste of Michigan’s great outdoors right in the heart of the city — walk behind a waterfall, reel in a big fish on a boat, hit the trail on a mountain bike, climb into a 35 foot oak tree — and so much more!

The action inside the Outdoor Adventure Center is only one exciting piece of our festival line-up. Stay tuned for more as we share all the engaging activities, workshops, and food we have to offer at the Michigan Jewish Food Festival...
